Because Excelen brings together practical knowledge and the expanded resources of Hennepin County Medical Center, Minnesota’s first Level 1 Trauma Center, we are a unique entity in the research arena. Our interdisciplinary research team has the distinct advantages of:

• access to clinical facilities
• partnerships with nationally recognized physicians
• a large patient population with an array of orthopaedic injuries and illnesses

Collaborating organizations and investigators include the University of Minnesota, Aarhus University, Niigata University, Mayo Clinic and other academic institutions worldwide. Other collaborating institutions/countries include Maijdol University, Thailand, Singapore, People’s Republic of China, Taiwan, Norway, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Argentina and Brazil.

The Excelen staff works with you to design an event that fits your project, group, and budget. We employ an onsite event planner who can assist with catering needs, whether meals or beverages/snacks. (Excellent restaurants are also within easy walking distance for your program participants.) Ramp parking is available at the 1010 Metrodome Ramp just across the street from our facility.

Excelen is located near the Metrodome in downtown Minneapolis, just blocks from major hotels and downtown Minneapolis activities and cultural attractions. The Metrodome Light Rail Station, which provides easy access to downtown, the airport, and Mall of America, is just a few bocks from the Excelen facilities.
